Hamburg
Hamburg has more bridges than Venice, 40 rainy days less than Munich, an ex-Bundesliga veteran, the Miniatur Wunderland with the largest model railroad in the world and the Elbphilharmonie, the probably most expensive concert hall in Germany. No wonder that the people from Hamburg consider their city the "most beautiful in the world". Those who have paid a visit to the Hanseatic city and breathed the salty air amidst the Speicherstadt, the harbour tour, the fish market and the Außen-Alster cannot get enough of the metropolis on the River Elbe. The walk along the museum harbour exudes true maritime romance with shrieking seagulls, ships and the sight of proud windjammer such as the former cargo ship "Rickmer Rickmers". So, it is understandable that many tourists with a delicious crab sandwich in their hand involuntarily whistle the albums of the shanty rock band Santiano. A completely different wind will move you on to the notorious Reeperbahn, as even the colourful nightlife on Hamburg's sinful mile "in St. Pauli" is just as unique to the metropolis as the hustle and bustle on the fish market and ice-cold Astra.Activities
