Activities in Monaco
The small principality on the Côte d’Azur can rightly call itself the pearl of the Mediterranean. This is not so much due to the less glamorous factor of Prince Albert and his Charléne, but rather the combination of a stunning location, a beautiful old town and a jet set life.
Whether you’re playing poker in the style of James Bond with a shaken martini in your hand at the famous Monte-Carlo Casino, admiring the gleaming white yachts on Port Hercule, or splashing the cash while shopping on Rue Caroline, glamour in Monaco is omnipresent. It is not uncommon to be lying on the beach next to stars like racing driver Niko Rossberg or meeting tennis ace Novak Dokovic at the traffic lights. An exciting contrast can be found in the picturesque streets of the old town, which is full of cafes and restaurants, where you can replenish yourself with the national dish “Barjuban” for a trip to the sea or a dive into the vibrant nightlife. Alternatively, enjoy the jet set flair during a ride in a rented Ferrari or Lamborghini, but beware: just because the Formula 1 takes place here each year, it doesn’t mean that the Police will turn a blind eye to speeding.
